How to print multiple pictures on one A4 page

The quickest way: open the photo layout tool, drag in all your pictures at once (or paste screenshots with Ctrl+V, or Cmd+V on a Mac), and they are arranged on a single A4 page automatically. Click Export to print or download a PDF. There are no sizes to set and no pixels or resolutions to work out.

The same approach works whether you want to print 2 images on one page, four photos for a school project, or a dozen screenshots.

Why not Word or the built-in print dialog?

What the automatic layout does

  1. No cropping. Every picture is shown whole, scaled proportionally.
  2. As large as possible. Pictures are made as big as the page allows, and landscape and portrait shots mixed together still line up neatly.
  3. Keeps your order. Pictures go left to right, top to bottom, in the order you added them.
  4. Saves paper. A new page is only added when the current one is full, and the pictures are then spread evenly across the pages.

Fine-tuning

Supported formats

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, HEIC (iPhone photos) and JFIF all work. Each page of a PDF is laid out as a separate block too, and you can mix all of these freely.
